author: Կազիմիր Մալևիչ "Woman with Rake by Kazimir Malevich, (1930-1932)
In the late 20s Malevich began to paint again after having it abandoned for a long period. Figures and rural scenes dominate his later works. Even in their most abstract form these figures have a graceful charm. With blank faces they stand in rows and alone in fields.
These Artsocks inspired by the painting 'Woman with Rake' show a female figure with a blank face holding a rake. It represents the impossibility of expressing the bad in the society of that time. Speak up if something is wrong. Stand up for the things that matter to you. The day you stop doing it, you start lying to yourself."
